Tune in and pledge to the WTJU Folk Marathon fundraiser coming up Monday May 9th through Sunday May 15th. The schedule can be found here ... loads of really great special programming put together by WTJU Djs for your listening pleasure, and all to raise money for our favorite radio station.We recently 'aired' a moment of silence to draw attention to the fact that it is all too easy for college-based radio stations to be sold off by their parent institutions in the guise of realizing short-term financial gain. We have to prove that the way we operate, non-commercially, with DJ- and listener-driven programming is a viable way forward, and the best way to do that is by listeners stepping forward with financial support.
If you can't listen in at the time the shows are aired, you can always listen in on the tape vault, where shows are saved for two weeks, so go ahead and indulge yourself!
