Go here for an amazing archive of documentary films. Their featured film is about Kentucky banjo player and National Heritage Award winner Morgan Sexton, but there is so much more.

Scuffletown benefit for David Bailey 9/18
Scuffletown will be playing a benefit for singer songwriter David Bailey at C'ville Coffee on Sat Sept 18th. David was diagnosed with brain cancer quite some time ago, has fought it off and has had many years as a touring artist since his diagnosis, but now the cancer has returned & he is in hospice.

Sara Watkins on Tell Us A Tale Sun 9/12 Noon-2pm
Tune in for a very special Tell Us A Tale, when Grammy winning artist and co-founding member of the contemporary bluegrass group Nickel Creek, Sara Watkins, stops by for a visit. In town to perform as part of Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion "Summer Love Tour" that same evening at the Charlottesville Pavilion, Sara will surely bring along her fiddle to play a few tunes.

Honoring Mike Seeger
The Theater at Lime Kiln(in Lexington, VA) is honoring Mike Seeger with festivities on Sunday afternoon, September 26, starting at 3 pm, to include the following:
**Concert by the Carolina Chocolate Drops, a trio of young African-Americans playing a range of old-timey music
**Time for visiting & picnicking. Limekiln will have food and/or you can bring a picnic (but not drinks); Limekiln sells wine and beer.
**Old-time dancing to the music of the Poison Bottom Boys with caller Becky McKenzie and guest caller Fred Park.
